Salanga - Central Coast
As of Saturday we are now residing in Cotacachi. We love it! Have rented a house for the next 4 months. We now have great internet service so can get caught up on our postings. Our last posting was from our trip up the central coast. So we now continue on that journey. Salanga is a small fishing village with a fleet of tuna boats, both large & small, and a fish processing plant, which was evident from the aroma in the breeze. These photos are sights of life in the village. There was a good seafood restaurant here and we had a delicious dinner with our friends Guy & Catalina.
1) Tuna fleet
2) Fishing nets drying on the beach
3) Typical backyard
4) Kids at play
5) Example of Ecuadorian political yard sign, you see this all over the country
